BACS offers air particle testing services nationwide including Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide, Hobart and Darwin as well as most regional areas.

Measurement of dust in the air of your computer facility gives an indication of the effectiveness of your technical cleaning regime. Additionally, increases in dust levels over time can be an early indicator of air conditioner problems or lapses in the maintenance of the controlled environment. Used on a regular basis, air particle testing report can be incorporated into a management plan to provide proactive facility protection. To reduce risk of failure, customers often require that minimum standards be met for the physical environment of their computers. Additionally, data centres offer compliance to ISO 14644 standards as an added safeguard to their customers.

  • BACS indoor air particle testing counts dust particles of six sizes, ranging from 0.5 to 25 microns (1 micron = 1 millionth of a metre).
  • Sample points are taken in accordance with ISO 14644 methodology.
  • After the measurement, BACS provides a comprehensive written report including a summary of recommendations, an analysis of the measurements, the actual results and a map of sampling points.
  • To further expand the report, BACS offers a profiling option that graphically shows where the highest concentrations of dust were found in the environment.
  • The analysis shows points, as applicable, where particle concentrations exceed specifications and provides commentary on these areas of interest.

  • Routinely monitoring air particle can show that the data centre facility is being maintained correctly.
  • Air particle reports are useful selling tools that provide documented evidence to your company and, if required, prospective and current clients, on compliance to best practice industry standards.
  • The report measures results against ISO 14644 standards.
  • BACS indoor air particle testing is not a certification service. It verifies that air particle meets, does not meet or exceeds established standards.
